Each contributor to a School Ready guide is a current or former teacher of that grad, who has worked extensively with parents and families of students. Most contributors have all been Teachers of the Year or finalists in their state or are nationally recognized educators.
The Managing Editor of the School Ready guides is is Timothy M. Dove is the 2011 and 2012 Ohio State Teacher of the Year. For 32 years Tim was a 7th and 8th grade teacher. He also was an adjunct professor at The Ohio State University for 20 years, working with secondary social studies MEd students. During the last seven years of his Kâ12 career, he was part of a leadership team that designed a new public middle school with an emphasis on student voice, student choice, mastery, and a connection to community and service. Since retirement from Kâ12 in 2013, he has been a consultant with Battelle for Kids in Hong Kong, Learning Forward, the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and the Collaboration for Effective Education, Development, Accountability and Reform (CEEDAR) Center, working with educators to better serve each and every student.
The School Ready guides are published by Parent Ready. Parent Ready addresses parents top concerns as they navigate the milestones, challenges and passions of their adolescent and young adult kids.
